Other names being thrown around were Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, but nobody showed up.

After Lullaby's set, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings played a few songs before being joined by Bright Eyes for a few more. Then Desaparecidos played one song with David Dondero doing backup vocals. Then the whole group performed Dondero's new song, "They're Building a New Berlin Wall."Kevin Coffeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16440417058499215318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7087026872969806667.post-45774531215948593192010-08-03T01:04:52.911-05:002010-08-03T01:04:52.911-05:00Thank you so much for this. It was such great insight into why these issues mean so much to Conor Oberst and why the show was so important to him. He is by far one of my biggest inspirations and favorite artists, and I felt like this was a really special read.
And can I just say... I cried when he played Coyote Song. :)
Also, who was the other special guest at the hootenanny portion? I've been wondering like crazy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
