Red Sky Watch: Journey and Night Ranger

Looks like we have another one.

Who: Journey and Night Ranger

When: Monday, July 18

What’s up: Journey, now with singer Arnel Pineda, is behind songs such as “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Any Way You Want It.” They’ll perform with Night Ranger, which is probably best known for the power ballad “Sister Christian.”

Of note is that Journey will release a new album, "Eclipse," on May 24. And according to the band's Facebook page, Night Ranger is also working on new material.

Tickets go on sale May 14 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and at the Qwest Center box office.

This is continuing the trend of artists that are popular and broad, which I've mentioned in previous posts.

My guess is we'll see a lot more announcements (main stage and festival grounds) on Red Sky this week. Stay tuned.

  1. I wonder what their last mainstage act will be. Journey is pretty big.

  2. hahahaha red sky blocked me from their page and deleted my comments because i made fun of the lineup hahaha what a god damn joke

  3. Justin.. I just got blocked too. I asked if Red Sky is supposed to be a comedy festival after they announced Journey & Night Ranger. Well, book some relevant bands and people wouldn't be so pissed off. Apparently they can't take constructive criticism :)

  4. This is shaping up to be a longer version of Z-Bash! My only hope is that Quiet Riot and Twisted Sister aren't busy and join the line up. This is all happening so fast! I need to cut a pair of my jeans into jorts! I won't even have time to grow hair long enough to cut into a mullet! I should have enough time to find a part time job at a video store or keyboard store. I can wait!

  5. Lol I'm glad I'm not the only one.

  6. @miles yea i saw your comment and really i dont get it 311 cant sell nething out here nemore and journey only hit about half full at the mac last time they came how the hell they expect this to draw out of town people or sell enough to succeed is beyond me. They blocked me cuz i said basically the same thing and so far ive announced their lineup on the page. Get ready for kid rock people.
